- Cupping therapy (拔罐療法 bá guàn liáo fǎ) is practiced across the world.
- It involves applying a heated cup to generate a partial vacuum that mobilizes the blood flow and promotes effective healing by correcting imbalances in the internal bio field, such as by restoring the flow of “Qi (氣qì)”.

Moxibustion

- Moxibustion (Chinese: 灸; pinyin: jiǔ) is consists of burning dried mugwort (moxa) on particular points on the body. It plays an important role in the traditional medical systems of China, Japan, Korea, Vietnam, and Mongolia.
- Practitioners use moxa to warm regions and meridian points with the intention of stimulating circulation through the points and inducing a smoother flow of blood and qi. It can treat conditions associated with the "cold" or "yang deficiencies". Moxibustion mitigates against cold and dampness in the body, and can serve to turn breech babies.
- There are several methods of moxibustion. Three of them are direct scarring, direct non-scarring, and indirect moxibustion. In our clinic, we adopt Chinese traditional moxibustion and Japanese Okyu Thread Moxa to achieve the above effects.

- The Bian Stone (Chinese: 砭石) therapy is called the first of six Chinese medicines (Bian, acupuncture, moxibustion, medicine, massage, Daoyin or conduction exercise), also known as "mother of acupuncture."
- Bian Stone therapy is suitable for a wide range of diseases and has a good therapeutic effect on pain, chronic diseases, and endocrine disorders.
- Gua sha (Chinese: 刮痧) is a traditional Chinese medical treatment in which the skin is scraped to produce light petechiae. Gua sha releases unhealthy bodily matter from blood stasis within sore, tired, stiff or injured muscle areas to stimulate new oxygenated blood flow to the areas, thus promoting metabolic cell repair, regeneration, healing and recovery. Gua sha is sometimes referred to as "scraping", "spooning" or "coining" in English. The treatment has also been called the descriptive French name, tribo-effleurage.

A rigorous scientific attitude towards toxic and side effect of natural herbs
- An oriental proverb has pointed out "One-third of a drug is toxicity". That is true for not only many Western conventional medicines but also for Herbal supplements. Even if the label says “natural” it may not be OK for you. For instance, some people take a herb called kava kava for menopause symptoms or to help them relax. But studies show that it may lead to hepatitis and liver failure [1]. Some countries have banned or restricted the herb, but it’s still available in Australia.
- Please remember: Any Herbal product is suggested when the nature of your body is imbalanced, just like a Conventional Medicine should be used when you are are sick. Another Old Proverb from an ancient classic says, “Weapons are lethal tools, the sage has no alternative but to resort to arms (When there is a disorder)”[2]. As a practitioner with both Western Conventional Medicine and Oriental Chinese Medicine background, Dr George Zhang always keeps a close eye monitoring the most recent and advanced studies on toxic and side effects of both Western Medicine and Oriental Natural Medicine. He aims for maximising the therapeutic effects with Botanical herbs while minimising the adverse effects of such substances. In the initial visit and during your following up treatments, you should always keep him with updated information regarding any medications (conventional medicine or herbal supplement) you have taken before or are taking currently.
